This FAQ’s section provides answers to common queries and questions and should be your first port of call for any technical product queries. We also have a library of technical guides and installation guides and a video library with technical and installation videos to help you on or off site.

If you still can’t find the answer to your question, we have a dedicated technical support team on hand to assist you.

Classic roofs are divided into two categories, flat pack and pre-assembled. Flat pack roofs have a lead time of 5 working days from receipt of signed confirmation (must be before 2pm or carries forward to the next working day) and Pre assembled roofs have a turn around of 7 working days. This is subject to our standard delivery days to different areas of the country E.G. if a flat pack roof was signed off on a Monday but delivery in the area is only on a Wednesday, then delivery would be the following Wednesday. We would be happy to confirm what days our drivers are in your area.

Unfortunately we cannot use carriers for our roofs as our vehicles are set out specifically to transport our products without causing damage. As some of our roof components are fragile in transit we are not able to offer this service as previous attempts have always resulted in damaged products.

The majority of the roofs we manufacture can be flat packed, this means that our computer systems can accurately calculate all components of the roof (including glass / polycarbonate sizes). More complex roofs require manual building and cutting in the factory to ensure accuracy, in addition it is not always possible to calculate glazing sizes so they are hand measured in the factory.

All kit roofs are guaranteed structurally for 10 years, for claddings it varies, depending on the finish.

  • Classic white roofs are guaranteed for 10 years.
  • All foiled products are guaranteed for 5 years.
  • Plain brown products are not guaranteed at all against colour fade.
  • Ancillary products are guaranteed for 1 year unless otherwise stated (some fans have a two year warranty).

There are no actual set rules for any of our roofing systems as there are many factors we take in to consideration e.g. glazing material, rafter spacing’s, pitch and site post codes. The only way to know for sure is to send us a drawing of your roof design and we would be happy to look at it for you.

We can offer remote assistance via telephone and whatsapp to resolve most issues. We do offer a site assistance service however this is only offered as a last resort. There is on average a minimum of a 6 weeks. There is also a charge for this service of £250 +VAT. This is payable in advance and will be refunded if the issue in question is the result of a product fault

Unfortunately we cannot provide roof quotations over the phone but if you email your roof details to quotes@ultraframe.co.uk.

If the roof has been fabricated by, or is on order with Ultraframe then we can provide the calculations. We will fax you a copy of our topography sheet which you will need to complete and return along with the relevant order number. If the roof is an Ultraframe roof but not supplied from us then there is a charge of £250 + VAT and we would need a detailed roof plan along with the topography sheet. The turnaround for the calculation is 10 working days.

We can as long as the homeowner has all the relevant details pertaining to their roof (proof of purchase, job reference and/or Ultraframe job number) and we are satisfied that the installation company has gone bust. If the roof was manufactured via one of our fabricator companies then we will try and point you in the right direction.
