The Ultraframe Classic roofing system is still the most configurable on the market since its launch in 1987. We continue to invest in this, our core system and in 2005 launched a suite of chambered top cappings to take the Classic system to another level.
The chambered top cappings are now available for use with Classic glazing bars, creating a conservatory roof that offers increased thermal performance which is 4°C warmer than 'so called' similar systems which use PVC or aluminium top cappings, when used under the same test conditions.
Furthermore, the new profiles offer enhanced torsional rigidity to resist bowing and twisting. This is even more significant when foiled product is specified.
Two styles of top cappings profile are available.
Bevel- with its geometric styling
Dome - with a more rounded appearance

Features & Benefits
There are many features and benefits of the Ultraframe Classic system chambered top caps:
- Increased thermal efficiency up to 4°C warmer than with similar systems. Prepares you for the anticipated changes to Building Regulations. 18% better thermal efficiency (U value) than with current top cappings and up to 40% better than competitors.
- Bowing and twisting is resisted, reducing call backs and eliminating the need for the more expensive thermally inefficient aluminium top cappings as recommended on other roof systems.
- Discreet gaskets and a more rigid profile mechanically clamp the glazing material into place for added security and to reduce the chance of slippage.
- 35mm polycarbonate can now be glazed into the Classic system.
- Choice of 2 designs: Bevel and Dome, which, when combined with decorative undercladding and a choice of Ultraselect strips, ensures the homeowner has a uniquely personalised conservatory.

Thermal Insulation
Chambered top cappings are 18% better than traditional Ultraframe top cappings and a staggering 40% more thermally efficient than competitor uPVC and aluminium top cappings.
Infrared visualisation clearly shows that the Ultraframe glazing bars are warmer (yellows/greens) whilst competitor systems are cooler (blues/purples) giving a colder conservatory, increasing the condensation risk on competitor roofs.
