In direct response to customer feedback, Ultraframe is unveiling a number of technical and design enhancements to Elevation, its stylish low-pitch lean-to roofing system. Improvements to the popular system include a modified wall plate, improved top cappings and the introduction of a new step by step installation guide, making it easier and quicker for installers to fit. On its Glassex stand Ultraframe will also be exhibiting a design first for a lean-to type conservatory with a revolutionary take on the traditional lean-to installation!
Ultraframe’s design team has redesigned the Elevation wall plate and top capping to address on site applications where vertical space is limited, such as on bungalows where there are only two courses of brickwork under the soffit. The new modified wall plate now splits into two. The upper half of the wall plate can be brought forward and attached to the fascia board onto which the top capping is attached.
The Elevation and Elevation Plus roofing system, which incorporates one piece hipped wings designed to create a prism effect and refract more sunlight into the conservatory, also benefit from a revamped and improved installation guide. The guide highlights the new system improvements and uses clear graphics to provide step by step installation techniques so that installers can fully benefit from the fitter friendly Clicklock technology in an even greater number of situations.
Ultraframe is also demonstrating a completely new concept for lean-to type conservatories. Created to illustrate the flexibility of the system, the design displayed on Ultraframe’s Glassex stand B100 stretches the boundaries of conservatory installation, showcasing the versatility of Ultraframe products in meeting the ever-demanding needs of the market.
Ultraframe has created an unusual roof design that slopes upward and away from the house. The revolutionary design uses a box gutter at the back of the conservatory with the roof raked upwards towards the front and produces a roof pitch that is not normally available on lean-tos. The side frames also splay outwards in plan view.
The installation was created by Ultraframe’s Design and Development Director Andrew Thomson. He commented: “When the owners of the conservatory sit inside and look outwards they have an expanding perspective both horizontally and vertically thereby reinforcing the impression of a sweeping, spacious environment.”
