Prefabricated Ultraroof Solid Roof Wins at Pitched Roofing Awards
Ultraframe is celebrating a recent win at the Pitched Roofing Awards where its Ultraroof solid roof system was crowned Best Solid Roof System in recognition of a stunning installation by Ultraframe customer Durham Design. The Lancashire-based company has been established for over 35 years and is an acknowledged market leader in prefabricated roofing systems.
Speaking about the PRA win, Ultraframe Marketing Director, Alex Hewitt, said: “Prefabricated roofing systems such as our Ultraroof tiled solid roof are becoming more and more popular as architects, specifiers and installers all recognise the huge time saving benefits that they offer. These benefits are especially important on larger projects where the time savings really stack up. Ultraroof offers many other benefits too – it’s the most thermally efficient solid roof on the market, exceeds Building Regulations with a U-Value as low as 0.13, is the lightest solid roof on the market, and also the strongest solid roof on the market. To have all of these attributes recognised on a national level at the Pitched Roofing Awards is a fantastic achievement for the team at Ultraframe and we couldn’t be more proud.”
The speed of building an Ultraroof can be several days faster than comparable roof systems thanks to it being 100% prefabricated. Widely acknowledged as the world leader in the design and manufacture of extension and conservatory roofing systems, Ultraframe designs its systems to be easy to learn for any skilled builder, without the need for specialist joinery skills – ensuring a straightforward build every time. We also offer on-site support for first installations for total peace of mind.”
Explaining further, Alex said: “The Ultrapanel technology within our Ultraroof system is an exciting technology that’s 100% unique to Ultraframe. Although pre-manufactured, the Ultraroof system is designed to cope with the slight adjustments practically required on site. A unique expandable Ultrapanel expands to insulate any gaps and avoid cold spots and the wide box beam can also be adjusted to accommodate any out of square window frames or walls beneath.”
When clipped together the Ultrapanel in Ultraroof create an I-beam structure to create strength, as well as avoiding labour intensive battening, and offer unrivalled thermal performance as low as U-Value 0.13. The panels are a revolution in strength, thermal efficiency and ease of installation and were recognised in their own right at the recent Conservatory & Orangery Awards where they were the winner of the Technical Innovation of the Year.
Concluding, Alex said: “We’d like to offer our congratulations to all of the other winners at the Pitched Roofing Awards and would invite anyone looking for a time-saving, technically advanced and now award-winning solid roof system to find out more about Ultraroof.”
