Ultraframe will be signalling their return to Glassex with a bright and busy presence including a number of major announcements. Stand B100 is the main focus for many new product innovations crowned by the introduction of Ultraframe Sunroom, a completely new roofing system that simplifies the installation of highly complex roof shapes.
Ultraframe Sunroom utilises the revolutionary Clicklock technology, confined in the past to simple roof shapes and, therefore budget sector roofs. However, when using Ultraframe Sunroom, installers can experience the many benefits of Clicklock on more complicated conservatory designs. The introduction of features such as box gutters, valleys and drop-down hips brings an almost limitless number of possible ways of covering a conservatory foot-print with designs that will suit any architectural requirement.
On the Ultraframe stand will be one such design interpretation, a ‘p-shape’ style roof incorporating many of the features of the new system. The Clicklock jointing mechanism not only speeds up the installation process, it also gives reassurance that joints are properly located and performing to meet the design requirements. The displayed sample also demonstrates the opportunity presented by using a ‘drop-down hip’ to join two ridges of different heights.
At the rear of the display is a cut away section exposing the detailing around the box gutter, to demonstrate how other complex designs such as a ‘t-shape’ roof can be constructed. The thermal performance of the roof is exemplary as it utilises glazing bars with the main structural element below the external roof surface, minimising cold bridging and giving enhanced insulation values at lower glazing depths.
Ultraframe Sunroom also retains many favourite additional features, including a version of Ultraselect in range of colour options, allowing the roof interior to be personalised.
Also on the product element of the Ultraframe stand will be the Ultraframe Classic, the new name for the core range, a roof system that just keeps getting better. New this year are thermally efficient top caps that will extend the thermal performance of the roof beyond the forecast future regulatory requirements.
Finally, there is an opportunity to see the recently launched Elevation roof system. This new contemporary lean-to roof is the next generation Ultralite, the popular ‘roof-in-a-box’ option stocked by many distributors,
and also incorporates Clicklock technology. It has already proved a massive success, including the unique Elevation Plus hipped wing end that allows much more light to flood into the conservatory than conventional lean-to designs.
New announcements don’t stop with products. Ultraframe has an adjacent stand where the emphasis is on service and new marketing initiatives. The Ultraframe Registered Installer Scheme was launched over 12 months ago and is now getting some major enhancements. Most significant is the involvement of the BBA to strengthen the inspection and assessment processes and add some real teeth to the scheme. The aim is to make this the strongest scheme of its kind in the construction industry and, with new regulations on conservatories just around the corner, membership and compliance with the Ultraframe Scheme should place installers in a very favourable position.
A number of new scheme benefits are set to be announced, and what benefits ……. lead generation, an insurance backed warranty offered by Ultraframe to the consumer, the reassurance of a rigorously applied inspection process, the credibility of the BBA – it is stacking up to a compelling proposition for all conservatory installers.
Finally there is also good news for all Ultraframe customers. The company are launching a Certificate of Authenticity so that all fabricators and installers can clearly demonstrate to their customer that their conservatory comes with the very best roofing product on the market – an Ultraframe one!
And the innovations don’t end there. Visitors to the Ultraframe stand will be able to see for themselves the remarkable new interactive websites from Ultraframe, one aimed at the trade and one for consumers. Online developments are also included in improved customer service with the introduction of the design and ordering of marketing support materials over the internet for all members of the Registered Installer Scheme.
There are lots of bright new features to be seen on the Ultraframe stand at Glassex 2005. Don’t blink, you might miss something!
