The Ultrasky Flat Skylight from conservatory and extension specialist, Ultraframe is now available with blue high-performance glass.

The popular extension roofing system was previously available only with clear glazing but the range has been expanded following demand from Ultraframe customers for a blue hue.

Explaining more, Ultraframe Marketing Director, Alex Hewitt, said: “Our blue glass option has been a popular choice on other Ultraframe roofing systems for quite some time and we’re pleased to be able to extend this offering to our Ultrasky Flat Skylight. Blue glazing not only looks stunning, but it’s also a hard-working glass product with a G-Value of just 0.3 which helps to keep the heat out in the summer while retaining heat in the winter. Its high UV rejection properties help to reduce the glare of the sun and minimise fading on furniture, and it also boasts an innovative coating which encourages rain dispersal to ensure a clear view through the Skylight, even after heavy rainfall.”

The Ultrasky Flat Skylight boasts a frameless edge-to-edge glass design, a feature which cannot be found on other similar products. This edge-to-edge feature creates a distinctive sleek look which allows the largest possible amount of light into the room below and also minimises the risk of seal degradation which can occur if water pools between the frame and the glass. Sitting flush with the internal plasterboard, the Ultrasky Flat Skylight looks frameless from the inside, giving the room a bright open feel.

While it leads the field in terms of aesthetics, the Ultrasky Flat Skylight is also a leader in terms of thermal performance with a U-Value of just 1.2 thanks to its fully insulated frame with 'Warm Frame' Technology.

As with the other products in the Ultraframe stable, fitter friendliness is key, and the Ultrasky Flat Skylight’s simple pre-assembled design and unique click-fit installation method means that it’s up to 50% faster than other flat skylights, saving valuable time on site.

Concluding about the new blue glass option on the Ultrasky Flat Skylight, Alex said: “While our Ultrasky Flat Skylight was already stunning in terms of its sleek edge-to-edge design, our installers now have the option to enhance these good looks further with blue glazing. We know that arming our installers with more high-performance options to offer to their customers is the key to them winning more sales and we’re sure that this latest product enhancement will be a huge hit.”

The Ultrasky Flat Skylight is available in grey, black and white as standard or any RAL by special request.
