Ultraframe awarded Conservatory Roof Fabricator/Manufacturer of the year at the NFA’s
Ultraframe is thrilled to have been awarded Conservatory Roof Fabricator/Manufacturer of the Year at the 2020 National Fenestration Awards (NFA’s).
Founded in 2013 The NFA’s aim to recognise all facets of the UK fenestration industry by inviting nominations for companies deserving recognition, followed by voting by the industry. There are no judges and no panels – the winners of the various awards are decided completely by industry participation.
Commenting on the win, Ultraframe Marketing Director, Alex Hewitt, said: “The whole team here at Ultraframe is absolutely delighted to have been awarded the Conservatory Roof Fabricator/Manufacturer of the Year Award at the 2020 NFA’s. It’s a very special type of recognition when you know the award has been voted on by our customers and peers in the industry. We always strive to offer the best possible support to customers and have worked doubly hard on this since the first lockdown, as we have had to adapt and move fast to help our customers prosper in these most challenging of times.”
Alex clearly sees winning the NFA award as a huge team effort and a well-deserved recognition for staff in every department of Ultraframe who have worked tirelessly during 2020 to ensure Ultraframe customers could continue to trade successfully and with as little disruption as possible.
Explaining more about the hard work of everyone at Ultraframe across the year, Alex said: “We are guessing that winning this award is largely down to the support and service we have provided during these difficult times. Our amazing supply chain and R&D teams have worked together to minimise any disruption to service and to build as much contingency into our supply chain as possible. Our customer-first team and the sales teams worked long hours to assist customers with the day-to-day challenges and to find quick solutions to a raft of Covid related issues, as well as maintaining ‘normal service’ as much as possible. Our marketing team have been hard at work too, making sure customers have the tools needed to maximise sales and have been running training courses. They also created an amazing Lockdown Toolkit of online tools to help retail customers trade online through the various lockdown restrictions. Finally, our operations team made sure that customers were still able to get the products they needed from us and worked so hard within the challenging landscape of the ever-changing restrictions to make this happen. It really has been a huge team effort and we are very proud that this has been recognised.”
Ultraframe installer Chris Vincent of Lifestyle Windows & Conservatories is just one of the many customers to have benefitted from the efforts of the Ultraframe team during 2020. Chris took advantage of the Lockdown Toolkit to ensure that his business was equipped to generate and convert leads online and said: “The lockdown tool was a bit of a revelation to us. It was comforting to know that our supply chain was already working on ideas to support us during what turned out to be unprecedented times. We had to adapt quickly to selling remotely which was a challenge for us technically and from a presentation perspective, how to best demonstrate the products with consumers in an engaging way. The content blocks and VAR tours developed by Ultraframe gave us tools to make us stand out from the crowd and get the Ultraframe UPS’s over to the consumer. We kept many of the techniques going as lockdown ended in summer and will continue to do so. A longer-term bonus is the visual boost it gives our website. In a competitive market every edge helps and as a small company we could never produce detail like this ourselves.”
Summing up about the win, Alex said: “Thank you to everyone who voted for us to win our NFA award – we really are thrilled that our efforts have been well received. Ultimately though, what really matters to us is that our customers are able to thrive and that we have been able to make a positive difference. Thank you to all of you, our wonderful customers. Rest assured our focus is well and truly on what’s coming with Covid still around us this winter, and all the uncertainties of Brexit, and doing the best we can to be ready for what comes next.”
