1000 Days without Lost Time Injury (LTI)
Ultraframe has achieved an impressive health & safety milestone of 1000 days without a Lost Time Injury (LTI). One of the core principles of the company’s health & safety procedures is that ‘nothing we do is worth injury to ourselves or others’, and this commitment emphasizes that all actions, even those intended to be productive or efficient, should be approached with a focus on safety to prevent harm to oneself and others.
Commenting about achieving 1000 Days without an LTI, Ultraframe Health and Safety Manager, Dan Myers, said: “Reaching 1,000 days without a lost time injury is a remarkable achievement that speaks volumes about Ultraframe’s commitment to safety, teamwork, and care for its people. Nothing we do is worth injury to ourselves or others, and this is the responsibility of us all. This milestone reflects not only our unwavering commitment to safety but also a shared culture where every individual takes responsibility for looking out for one another, and is the result of countless moments of awareness, good decisions, and proactive actions within the business. By prioritising the well-being of our team, Ultraframe has demonstrated that operational excellence and safety go hand in hand. This is more than just a statistic—it’s a celebration of a workplace where everyone goes home safe, every single day.”
The three Ultraframe sites that have remained free of LTI’s for 1000 days cover a massive area of 420,000 sq ft with over 350 employees currently working across a multitude of production, warehousing and office settings.
Concluding, Dan said: “We are immensely proud of the 1000 days without an LTI statistic and are striving to increase the number of days and build on what we have achieved already. Health and Safety is a team activity, and maintaining this result requires us all to be vigilant, disciplined, and to take actions regularly to report and reduce the risks that we identify around us, such as those from occasional near misses. It is the collective benefit of us all doing what we can across our 3 sites - however big or small - that adds up and ultimately makes the difference.”
