In the USA, BOCA is the combined equivalent of the UK Building Regulations and BBA. Every conservatory needs a building permit in the USA and BOCA approval gives installers blanket exemption from compliance and Ultraframe is the ONLY company to have approval in 26 States. These states, principally in the North-East and Mid-West represent 72% of the population and are the prime target states for the building of conservatories.
With its fierce winters, typically with 4 times the worst Scottish snowfalls, and blistering summers, achievement of BOCA approval was the final testament to the structural integrity and weatherproofing performance of the Ultraframe system.
Ultraframe was the first conservatory roofing company to pass Europe's most stringent testing regime and achieve BBA Certification. The Certificate indicates the Ultraframe conservatory roof will have a life of at least 25 years.
In June 1994 Ultraframe was the first company to achieve ISO 9001 & 9002 for the design, manufacture and supply of conservatory roofing systems. To this day it remains the only conservatory roofing company with both these accreditations.
Ultraframe has always been the design leader in conservatory roofing systems. Continuous investment ensures that it will remain as Europe's leading manufacturer of innovative products, and the achievement of 283 granted/pending patents is evidence of this.
In addition to authoritative testing by the government backed approvals body, the BBA, Ultraframe uses many other independent testing agencies such as Warrington Fire Research Centre, Leyland Test Centre and Bradford University.
