The Quantal aluminium roofing system is one of the longest established in the conservatory sector, having been around for almost 25 years. The system has recently been re-engineered to boost its thermal performance and give it a fresh new contemporary look - which makes it the ideal choice for suiting with aluminium bi-folds and frames.

A key feature of the thermal enhancements is the new thermally broken ridge, which features a thermal shroud for the ultimate in thermal performance, while newly engineered glazing bars also feature thermal breaks.

Quantal has always been one of the more ornate conservatory roofing systems on the market, but this new incarnation has been streamlined and given a sleek new look that’s perfect for the demands of consumers today. New slimline top caps, low profile gaskets and angular aluminium bar end caps all contribute to the new contemporary look which can be used to configure virtually any style or shape of conservatory and is also ideal for orangeries and contemporary extensions.

In keeping with current trends, the ever-popular 7016 is one of four core colours available on the shortest lead-time, with any other RAL colour available on request.

The new Quantal system can be used in combination with a number of other products from the market-leading Ultraframe stable, including the Internal Pelmet, Super Insulated Columns and Cornice. The Internal Pelmet provides a chunky, modern pelmet which is finished in plaster and provides an ideal housing for downlighters or speakers. Super Insulated Columns do what they say on the tin – they are five times more thermally efficient than brick columns of the same size and so hugely boost the thermal performance of a conservatory, orangery or extension. These columns are also finished internally with plaster, to give a more ‘room-like’ feel and are available in a choice of flat or fluted designs in any RAL colour. Finally, the Cornice can be used to give an orangery-like appearance from the outside and is available in curved, fluted or flat in a choice of 3 heights, allowing for either a contemporary or traditional effect.

Explaining more about the new Quantal aluminium roofing system, Ultraframe Marketing Director, Alex Hewitt, said: “The new Quantal system is a fantastically versatile aluminium system with many customisation options which make it the perfect choice for contemporary conservatories, orangeries and extensions. Aside from the many new thermal and aesthetic enhancements, the roof is also now much quicker and easier to fit thanks to its patented Speedlock system and one-piece push fit glazing bars. It’s fitter-friendly, suites perfectly with aluminium bi-folds and frames, is thermally superior to other aluminium roofs on the market and has the clean contemporary lines that are so on trend right now. We’re sure it’s going to be hugely popular as it really offers a point of differentiation for our installers and allows the homeowner to create a stunning conservatory, orangery or extension, designed to their exact requirements.”
