Excellent structural strength and stability is provided by the unique UltraRoof 380 box beam. This enables the beam to provide a cantilever from the corners up to 1200mm from the supporting frame. This forms a triangular soffit that overhangs the corner facets.

The lightweight roof kit is fitted in the same way as the Edwardian/Georgian design and can be supported by any combination of frames, Loggia columns, masonry walls or columns. View the installation video on the Ultraframe trade website. The roof kit provides all of the main roof and tile components with excellent thermal performance. The roof can be glazed with full length integral units or with Velux roof windows dependent on size.

As with other UltraRoof380 designs internal counter battens and plasterboard are not supplied with the roof. Given the variation in facet lengths and angles you will need to source the cladding, supporting board and insulation to finish the triangular soffit section externally and to form a small vertical frame to support the plasterboard internally.

Internal frame (not Tudor Plastersupplied) to support the plasterboard, with finished internal detail.

A survey detailing the plan and elevations of the supporting frames and masonry, showing proposed roof glazing and soffit depths will ensure delivery of a design that adds a new dimension to your customer’s home. Download the Tudor Roof Detailing Guide for detailed interior fitting instructions.
