Receiving your first ultraroof 380 order

Advice on installation and safety on site

If you haven’t installed an UltraRoof380 before it will be useful to take a look at the installation video on the Ultraframe website. This will give you a good insight into how the roof goes together. You can also download the installation guide. The installation guide provides you with a step by step guide to ensure the roof is installed correctly. In addition you will find advice on the tools and equipment that you will need to do the job in addition to recommendations on access equipment that will enable you to install the roof safely when working at height and will enhance the speed of installation.

First Installation Assistance

You can download a First Install Assist form where you can request on-site training for your first roof. You will need to return the form in good time to reserve a training slot.

What to do when the roof arrives

A typical UltraRoof380 order will have around 50 packs, larger roofs may have more.UltraRoof 380 is more bulky than a Classic conservatory roof. If you are not installing the roof immediately it is good practice to store the roof in a dry environment.

Storing the roof before installation

If you have ordered more than one roof and all the roofs have arrived at your premises on stillages you should take all of the packs out of the stillages and group the packs in roof order in separate UltraRoof 380 POD on Component Boxbays. The Proof of Delivery (POD) document indicates the number of stillages in the order and the location of roof packs by stillage. You have 48 hours to notify Ultraframe of in the unlikely event of any shortages.

In addition, every roof has an individual POD attached to one of the component boxes. This is useful when taking the roof to site as a check to ensure you have the correct number of packs. Checking the roof against the roof POD will save you time since the low numbers on the list are the first items that you will use in the installation process.

Critical Dimensions SheetYou can find a hard copy of the installation guide in one of the component boxes. Also look out for a document wallet in the same box. The document wallet contains the Critical Dimensions sheets in addition to the layout plans for the main roof members, the OSB roof deck and tile layout. The Critical Dimensions sheets provide measurements that must be used to ensure the roof setout is correct. Spending a little time in getting the correct dimensions  will ensure the roof pitch is correct and will save time by ensuring all the parts fit together as they should.
