Pioneering conservatory and extension specialist, Ultraframe, has recently added WhatsApp to its already extensive technical support repertoire. The service is available to installers needing fast, on-site assistance when fitting the Ultraroof tiled roof system.

The Technical Support Team can now accept text queries, photos or videos from fitters on site via WhatsApp and quickly reply with an answer by sending documents, images, text replies and even animations that show the components of the roof fitting together; step-by-step.

Explaining more about the company’s latest technical support initiative, Ultraframe Marketing Director, Alex Hewitt, said: “We know that like most people these days, fitters are never without their phones and WhatsApp is the most preferred messenger system for our fitters Extending our Ultraroof technical support to this channel makes it ideally accessible for moments on site when an installer needs a speedy, concise answer to an installation query – especially during the all-important first installations of the system.”

A picture paints a thousand words and a video even more so, and so according to Alex, this has made it much easier for the early adopters of the system to explain their Ultraroof queries. She continued: “It can sometimes be difficult to explain a technical query, as people interpret information in different ways, so when an installer has the ability to send us a photo or a video to describe exactly what they’re seeing, it means there is no confusion about what they’re asking and we can ensure we give them the information they’re looking for, right away. It also means that if an installation step needs explaining, we can send a short animated video to be watched immediately”
