Tile Installation

The UltraTile's brilliant design means you can install up to 12 tiles at once, saving you precious time on site and making it extremely simple for your installation teams.

However, there are things to look out for to ensure the tiles can expand and contract in hot and cold weather conditions. The tiles in their fitted position must be allowed to ‘float’ for movement. Care must be taken not to push the tiles too hard together and to use the location marks on the tiles when installing.

Screws and fixings are there to prevent lifting, but still allow movement of the tiles for expansion and contraction. It’s important not to over tighten the screw when installing the tiles. Follow the tile installation guidelines on the link below to make sure this is done correctly.

Another useful tip when tiling an UltraRoof380 is to take note of the labelling in the tile location plan. Tile starter strips are lettered in correspondence with its location shown in the tile location plan and not in alphabetical order, so it’s important to follow the plan.

The best way to ensure you get the tile installation right first time is to thoroughly read the tile installation sheet provided in a clear folder on the side of each tile box or in the document packs provided with every UltraRoof380 order. Alternatively, you can download it from the link below.
