Ultraframe has recently revamped its Training School of Excellence to ensure they are still offering their customers the best training opportunities in the industry. The courses are free of charge and provide anyone involved with selling, surveying or fitting Ultraframe conservatories with the knowledge and confidence to tackle any installation.

Mark Hanson, Marketing Manager, commented: “A dedicated Research & Development team work continually to develop and enhance Ultraframe roofing systems and so it is only right that we provide training courses to ensure that installation teams are able to fit them correctly and maximise the technical superiority of the products. All of our trainers have been with Ultraframe for many years and can use this knowledge and expertise to ensure that the courses are informative and stimulating.”

The courses cover a range of key elements such as Technical Product Knowledge, Complete Conservatory Surveying, Retail Conservatory Sales and Conservatory Roof Fabrication. Each course includes a full tour of the Ultraframe factory site and uses classroom sessions and hands-on opportunities to enthuse delegates. All training is now delivered using an on-screen presentation to accompany the trainer, which is available to take away as notes at the end of the session. A new training calendar has recently been introduced to make booking onto courses even easier. Anyone wishing to attend a course simply needs to check when their chosen subject is available on the calendar and contact Ultraframe using a simple fax-back booking form or by calling the School of Excellence booking line. Several days each month have been left clear in the calendar to allow for any customers who require a custom-designed course, tailored specifically to the needs of their staff.

Ultraframe can also now take the training school on the road if required and hold training sessions at customer’s premises for convenience. The training team take along product samples and literature and can provide any of the eight standard or bespoke training courses in either the customer’s premises or using one of the Ultraframe mobile training units.

A training session was recently held for members of the Ultra Installer Scheme who are based in Scotland. One attendee was Julian Hunter of Solayr Ltd, Ayr, who commented: “Having the course held regionally was a great bonus for us. The reduced travel time allowed us to attend the session feeling fresh and attentive and minimised valuable time away from site for our fitters. We had reservations that perhaps we would receive a reduced level of training due to the logistics of transporting samples and components but this could not have been further from the truth. Once the door was closed we might as well have been at the Ultraframe Head Office! The Ultraframe team were on hand to demonstrate products and fully answered all questions. A wide range of interesting topics were discussed, covering sales, specification, design and installation and all our employees came away having learnt something valuable. We will definitely take up the opportunity of attending the next regional training session and are thrilled that Ultraframe have introduced this option for customers like ourselves, who do not live close to their Lancashire base.”

Mark Hanson concluded: The feedback we have received since introducing regional training has been tremendous. For many customers the long journey to Clitheroe meant several days off-site which is especially difficult during the busier months of the year. The introduction of a calendar system for the various training courses has also proved useful as it means that customers can see at a glance when we are running the training courses that interest them. Over the last 20 years, Ultraframe has amassed a lot of knowledge about conservatories and our Training School of Excellence allows us to share this powerful information with our customers.”
